Title: A SAPLING THAT STRIVES
I look up to the world above,
a little sapling I am right now.
Large grown trees obstruct my view,
but my focus remains on what I ought to do.
“A small little sapling can’t bring a change,
all she’s worth is a golden cage”.
Through their words I struggle and strive,
I know it’s tough but still I’ll thrive.
The ones who laughed, I’ll show them how,
I pull and strive and rise above.
Grow up stronger than anyone else,
break the chains, the invisible fence.
In a world filled with regressive thought,
I'll at least be the one who fought.
Their beliefs stand rooted, unchanged by time.
Though I'm young, I'll carve a path that's mine.
They'll watch as I tear those roots away.
Clear the path and pave my own way.
